Dog Days Anime Gets Third Series

During the FlonyaFestival 2012, a special Dog Days event held in Tokyo, the manga illustrator of Dog Days, Fujima Takuya, tweeted that production on a third series of the Dog Days anime had been green-lit.

This series will follow on from the two previous installments that were released in 2011 and 2012 consecutively. Presumably Seven Arcs (Asura Cryin’, Sekirei, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) animation studio will also be producing the third series, and scriptwriter Masaki Tsuzuki (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha) has yet to announce his involvement.

The story follows Princess Millhiore (Yui Horie) of the Biscotti Republic, who decides to summon a brave warrior from an alternate world to defend her country from the neighboring fiefdom of Galette. However, the brave warrior turns out to be a boy named Shinku (Mamoru Miyano) from modern-day Japan.
