Attack on Titan Sand Sculpture Time-Lapse Video

Kodansha has released a time-lapse video of sand artist Toshihiko Hosaka creating an Attack on Titan sculpture on a beach at Enoshima. The amazing sculpture took 10 days to build, and was made with more than 80 tons of sand. Hosaka created the sculpture to celebrate the release of the manga’s 11th volume, which will be available in Japan on 9 August. Kodansha USA released the 5th volume of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan manga series in June, and the 6th volume will be available on 27 August (US) and 19 September (UK).

First Diabolik Lovers Vampire Anime Trailer Released

The official website for the anime adaptation of Rejet’s Diabolik Lovers PSP game and drama CD has released the TV show’s first trailer. The video features the opening theme song from the original game, “Mayonaka no Kyoen (Midnight Pleasure)”. The anime will begin this autumn.

The story revolves around six sadistic vampire brothers and Yui Komori, an optimistic girl who is troubled by her ability to see ghosts. Due to her father’s work, Yui transfers to a night school, and is sent to stay with the Sakamaki brothers.

The series is being directed by Shinobu Tagashira (animation director on Hunter X Hunter and D.C. ~Da Capo~) at ZEXCS studio (D.C. ~Da Capo~, Flowers of Evil). Yuuko Yahiro (B Gata H Kei – Yamada’s First Time) is the character designer, Seiko Nagatsu (Mokke) is the scriptwriter for the series and Yuki Hayashi (Robotics;Notes) is the composer.

The voice of Yui Komori has yet to be announced, but the six Sakamaki brothers have already been revealed.

New Attack on Titan Trailer Released

The anime production company Pony Canyon has released a new trailer for the Attack on Titan anime. The series is set to premiere on 6 April.

The original, award-winning manga (written by Hajime Isayama) is set in a world where giants named Titans roam the world outside of walled enclaves that humans live in; the Titans are devoid of humanity and seek only to devour humans. In the anime, Yuuki Kaji voices Eren, a boy who dreams of the world outside the walls and enlists in the training corps to fight the Titans; Yui Ishikawa plays Mikasa, a girl who was rescued by Eren when they were younger; and Marina Inoue plays Armin, a friend of Eren and Mikasa, who teaches Eren of the outside world.

Tetsuro Araki (Death NoteHighschool of the DeadGuilty Crown) is directing the series at Wit Studio (in cooperation with Production I.G), Yasuko Kobayashi (Shakugan no ShanaClaymoreJoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) is the head writer and Kyoji Asano (Psycho-PassTokyo Marble Chocolate) is the character designer.

Tetsuro Araki (Death Note, Highschool of the Dead, Guilty Crown) is directing the series at Wit Studio (in cooperation with Production I.G), Yasuko Kobayashi (Shakugan no Shana, Claymore, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) is the head writer and Kyoji Asano (Psycho-Pass, Tokyo Marble Chocolate) is the character designer.
