The official website for the Ghost In The Shell Arise anime has released a new teaser trailer.
The design of the Rojikoma mechs has also been revealed on the anime’s website:
Series director Kazuchika Kise (key animator on previous Ghost In The Shell films) is responsible for the character design, while Tow Ubukata (Mardock Scramble) is the series scriptwriter and Cornelius (Appleseed: Ex Machina) is the composer.
The anime release will consist of four 50-minute episodes, which will be released in Japanese cinemas. The first part, GhostPain,will run for two weeks from the 22 June, ahead of its Blu-ray and DVD release on 26 July. The series is a prequel to the original, featuring a younger Motoko.

The show’s cast was also announced, and Maaya Sakamoto will be reprising the role of Motoko Kusanagi. Alongside her will be Kenichirou Matsuda as Batou, Tarusuke Shingaki as Togusa, Tomoyuki Dan as Ishikawa, Takurou Nakakuni as Saito, Youji Ueda as Paz, Kazuya Nakai as Borma and Ikkyuu Juku as Daisuke Aramaki.
Bandai Visual has announced that they will be simultaneously streaming the launch event of Ghost in the Shell Arise worldwide. The company confirmed that English interpreters will be present at the event, so English audio will be available. The event will take place at 9 p.m. on 12 February in Tokyo, so that’s 12 p.m. on 11 February (UK) and 4 a.m. (US).
The 60-minute launch event for the newest series in the Ghost in the Shell anime franchise will include announcements, a showing of the opening animation, and a promotional video. Some of the upcoming series’ staff will be present, including chief director and character designer Kazuchika Kise, series composition and scriptwriter Tow Ubukata, and Production I.G co-founder Mitsuhisa Ishikawa.
To promote the event, Bandai Visual are currently offering free, English-subbed episodes of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex on its YouTube Channel until 20 February. Due to licensing issues, however, these episodes are not available in the US, UK and several other countries; no countries will be blocked from viewing the launch event, though.

Kenji Kamiyama, the director of previous Ghost in the Shell series and films, has announced that he will not be involved in the new project.
Production I.G has launched an official website for the anime and released a full image of the main character Motoko Kusanagi.
