The series was directed by Akira Iwanaga (Gunslinger Girl), with Masanao Akahoshi (Psychic Squad) and Shou Aikawa (Fullmetal Alchemist) scripting most of the series, and Minako Shiba (Black Butler) doing the character design.

“Gunslinger Girl” Manga Will End at Volume 15

Yu Aida’s Gunslinger Girl has been scheduled to finish with the release of its 15th volume by the end of 2012. Originating in 2002, the manga follows Henrietta, whose entire family was massacred when she was little and she was left for dead. Taken in privately-owned social welfare organisation, she was given cybernetic components to repair her body. Along with four other girls, she has been brainwashed to become an assassin for the Italian government.

Set for release in Japan on 17 December, a limited edition of the final volume will be available with a mini art book.
