First Promo for Hyperdimension Neptunia Anime Released

The official website for the anime adaptation of the Hyperdimension Neptunia role-playing game has released its first promotional video for the series. The video introduces the main characters and features the song “Dimension tripper” by nao.

The main staff of the series have also been announced; Masahiro Mukai (episode director of Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Kuroko’s Basketball) is directing the series at David Production (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure), Shogo Yasukawa (Hayate the Combat Butler) is the scriptwriter and Hitomi Takechi (key animator on Fullmetal Alchemist) is adapting Tsunako’s original character designs for the anime.

New Promos Released for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Game

Three new promotional videos have been released by Nintendo for the upcoming release of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth game, which will be available on the 3DS in Japan on 23 November. Voice actress Rie Kugimiya (Gintama‘s Kagura, Fairy Tail‘s Happy, Hayate the Combat Butler‘s Nagi) vocalises the latest incarnation of Pikachu featured in the short animations.

The game turns players into a Pokémon as if in some sort of dream; the players partner up with other Pokémon to explore the world. Using augmented reality technology, players can scan objects in the real world that will then become “magnagates”, opening up new dungeons to explore within the game.

New Zettai Karen Children Anime Set for 2013 Release

Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine has revealed that the new Zettia Karen Children anime, Courtesy of Zettai Karen Children: The Unlimited – Hyobu Kyosuke. This spin-off, based on the previous anime series and Takashi Shiina’s original Zettai Karen Children manga, will centre around Kyosuke Hyobu; the leader of P.A.N.D.R.A, Hyobu wants people with ESP powers like himself to wipe out the “Normals”. Koji Yusa is reprising his role of Hyōbu, and Junichi Suwabe will voice Andy Hinomiya. The series will premiere in Japan in 2013.

The new anime will be directed by Shishō Igarashi (Deadman Wonderland, Armored Trooper Votoms Case;Irvine) at Manglobe anime studios, and Shinichi Inotsume (first Zettai Karen Children, Hayate the Combat Butler) will provide the series’ scripts. In the animation department,  Jun Takagi (Romeo × Juliet, Submarine 707R) will be the character designer and chief animation director, and Kenji Teraoka (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) is the mechanical designer. The soundtrack for the series will be provided by Kotaro Nakagawa (first Zettai Karen Children, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Hayate the Combat Butler).

The original anime series was released by Sentai Filmworks in North America as Psychic Squad.

First Preview of “Hayate the Combat Butler” Released

The first promotional video of Manglobe’s new anime series Hayate the Combat Butler: Can’t Take My Eyes Off You has been released. The series will take a different direction to the original anime and will not be directly based on the manga by Kenjirou Hata. However, Hata has created the story concepts for the new anime.

The anime will feature a returning voice cast, starring Ryoko Shiraishi as Hayate Ayasaki and Rie Kugimiya as Nagi Sanzenin. The series will be directed by Masashi Kudo.

The anime follows Hayate Ayasaki, who kidnaps the daughter of a wealthy couple for ransom in order to settle his parent’s gambling debts. Misunderstanding the situation, Nagi Sanzenin believes Hayate is confessing his love and she falls for him. When Hayate saves her from other kidnappers, Nagi hires him as her butler to help him settle his debts and keep him close to hand.

The anime will start in October.
