Mega Man (Rockman) creator Keiji Inafune and his company Comcept have met the $2.2million stretch goal on Kickstarter to bring the Mighty No. 9 to PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U. The game will also be available on PC, Mac and Linux, and is intended to be released in spring 2015.
With two weeks still remaining on the Kickstarter project, the next stretch goals include a Challenge Mode, an extra end stage and boss and next-gen versions. We’ll see if they hit those targets too.
Studio Trigger announced at this year’s Anime Expo that it will be launching a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the production of another episode of Little Witch Academia, a fantasy anime short that was created for this year’s Anime Mirai project.
Localisation and games company Acttil also recently announced that it would be collaborating with Studio Trigger to produce a standard and Collector’s Edition Blu-ray of the first Little Witch Academia this summer. The entire 30-minute anime has, however, be released on YouTube with English subtitles, and an official English language website has also been launched.
Little Witch Academia is about a young girl named Akko Kagari, who is inspired by a witch called Shiny Chariot and joins Luna Nova, an academy for young witches. Akko is not the best in her class, but when they are sent to explore a labyrinth under the Tower of Luna Nova, an ancient dragon is released from its seal and Akko is the only one who might be able to destroy it.
