On Friday August 31, the Victoria and Albert Museum in South Kensington, London, will host Loli-POP!, an evening celebrating Japanese Lolita fashion. The event ties in to the museum’s current exhibition, “Kitty and the Bulldog: Lolita Fashion and the Influence of Britain“, which features Lolita outfits from Tokyo.
The evening will run from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and places are designated on a first come, first served basis, unless stated otherwise. Attendees can “Be styled in pink, with frills and wigs, plus doll-like make-up with an edge.” The event will feature DJ sets, jewellery making, a kawaii illustration workshop, a wig bar, nail bar and eyes and lips bar. There will also be talks on Lolita fashion and a showing of the film Kamikaze Girls.
Kitty and the Bulldog: Lolita Fashion and the Influence of Britain will run until January 27 2013.
