Today, Manga Entertainment has released the second half of the horror anime series Shiki and Bleach series 9 in the UK.
Shiki is set in a remote Japanese village, in which the citizens begin dying off in alarming numbers, entire families are wiped out while others leave their homes. All hell breaks loose as the villagers discover their loved ones’ corpses are rising from the grave with an insatiable thirst for human blood.
The series is directed by Tetsuro Amino (Broken Blade) and scripted by Kenji Sugihara (Yuruyuri) for the majority of its episodes.
Bleach series 9 contains episodes 168 to 189 of the series.
Kaze UK has confirmed that Code Geass (full title Code Geass: Lelouch of theRebellion)series one will be available on Blu-ray and DVD from January 2013. The Blu-ray will be priced at £39.99 and the DVD will be £29.99. This release comes a few months after Kaze UK and Manga Entertainment’s announcement that they had acquired both titles at Amecon this August.
Manga Entertainment has today released the first volume of Blue Exorcist in the UK.This release has subtitles only and a dubbed version will not be available until late 2013, so fans will just have to tide themselves over with the sub edition till then.
A supernatural series, Blue Exorcist tells the story of a boy called Rin Okumura, who discovers he is the son of Satan. Fighting his fate, he joins the True Cross Academy to become an exorcist and defeat demons rather than ally with them. The series was directed by Tensai Okamura (Darker Than Black) and animated by A-1 Pictures (Black Butler).
