Tales of Xillia 2 English Trailer

Namco Bandai Games has released an English-dubbed trailer for Tales of Xillia 2. The PS3 RPG is set to be released in the West in 2014.

This game is set one year after the first Tales of Xillia Title, and is set in a world where choice weaves the future.

Tales of Xillia 2 was released in Japan on 1 November, 2012. Namco Bandai also just released the first Tales of Xillia game in the US last month.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle Fighting Game Gets Western Release

Namco Bandai Games has announced that JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle fighting game will be released on PS3 in North America, Europe, and Australasia in 2014.

The game includes characters from across all eight parts of Hirohiko Araki’s long-running JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga, and was originally shipped in Japan on 29 August. CyberConnect2 developed the game, with Hiroshi Matsuyama directing.

Tales of Xillia English Launch Trailer Released

Sony has released the official English launch trailer of Namco Bandai’s Tales of Xillia RPG for PlayStation 3. The game is out now in the US, and will be released in the UK on 9 August.

Tales of Xillia was originally released in Japan in September 2011, and Tales of Xillia 2 shipped in Japan last November. Namco Bandai plans to release the sequel in the West in 2014.

Tekken Goes Free-To-Play on PS3

Namco Bandai Games has revealed Tekken Revolution, a free-to-play version of its popular beat ’em up franchise, which will be available for download on the PS3 via the PlayStation Network on 11 June.

Players can choose from an initial eight characters to fight against a CPU opponent or another player, and ranked online matches are also available. For the first time in a Tekken title, players can level-up their characters in three categories: Strength, Endurance and Vigor. Special Arts and Critical Arts moves have also been added to ease new players  into the experience.

New Project X Zone English Trailer

Sega has released a new English trailer for Namco Bandai Games’ crossover RPG Project X Zone, which will be available on Nintendo 3DS on 25 June (US), 4 July (AUS) and 5 July (EU). A demo of the game has just been released on the Nintendo eShop.

The trailer previews some of the animated sequenced created by Trigger anime studio and directed by Akira Amemiya (animator on Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt). It also reveals a few of the vast roster of characters available from 27 different titles.

The game was originally released in Japan last October.

Armored Core: Verdict Day English Trailer Released

Namco Bandai Games has released an English trailer for Armored Core: Verdict Day, which will be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this autumn.

Developed by From Software (Dark Souls), Armored Core: Verdict Day allows players to command a squadron of advanced Armored Core mechs in order to fight for the last remaining resources necessary to survive in the game’s dystopian war-torn world.

Players will be able to transfer their save data from Armored Core V, and will be able to add further customisations to their mechs. The game will also feature the return of Operator Mode, as well as co-op and multiplayer modes.

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Character Gameplay Trailers

In the run up to the release of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, Namco Bandai Games Europe has revealed two character gameplay trailers – one for Naruto, the other for Sasuke. The RPG, developed by CyberConnect2, will be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on 5 March (USA), 8 March (EU) and 18 April (JP).

On Namco Bandai Games’ online American store, players can purchase an exclusive edition of the game, which comes with a poster, soundtrack, trading card and two figurines. Players in Europe and Japan needn’t be disappointed, though, as various downloadable costumes will be available to all players.

Ni No Kuni European release pushed back to 1 February

Namco Bandai UK has announced that the European and Australasian release of Level-5 and Studio Ghibli’s game Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch has been delayed until the 1 February.

The company has said the change is due to logistical delays beyond its control; however, as an apology for this delay, the game will come with a free download of a new ‘Draggle’ familiar character.

Namco Bandai has also recently released another behind the scenes feature of Ni No Kuni that looks at the music of Joe Hisaishi, the composer of many Studio Ghibli classics such as My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away.

Another Ni No Kuni Behind the Scenes Video Looks at Studio Ghibli’s Art

Namco Bandai Games’ European division have released another behind the scenes look at the PS3 release Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. In this video, the Director of Animation at Studio Ghibli Yoshiyuki Momose, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino and the animation production staff who worked on the RPG discuss Studio Ghibli’s animation for the game, and how they approached Ghibli’s art style and the gameplay.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be available in America on 22 January 2013 and Europe will receive the game on 25 January.

Earth Defense Force 4 Will Be Released in the West as Earth Defense Force 2025

D3 Publishers (America) and Namco Bandai Games Europe have announced that Earth Defense Force 4 will be released in the west under the title Earth Defense Force 2025. The game will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2013.

As with the previous games, players must defend Earth and its inhabitants from giant alien bugs. Developed by Sandlot, the game will include a four-player local multiplayer alongside the standard missions.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 Will Be Released in Europe

Namco Bandai Games Europe has confirmed that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will be released in Europe on the PlayStation 3 in summer 2013. The game has been confirmed for release on PS3 and PlayStation Vita in Japan, but Namco Bandai has not confirmed a Vita edition for the Europe release. 

The game is set in the New World arc of the One Piece story, featuring new stages such as Skypiea, new characters such as Eneru and a new original mode.

The game is being developed by Omega Force (in-house Tecmo Koei developers).

The first One Piece: Pirate Warriors has sold over 1.2 million copies, and, to celebrate, Namco Bandai Europe will provide a discount on the digital copy of the original game with all downloadable content from 12 – 26 December 2012.

A Look Behind the Scenes of Studio Ghibli’s Game Ni No Kuni

With the long-awaited western release of Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch approaching, the folks at Namco Bandai Games’ European studios have released a behind the scenes look of Studio Ghibli and Level-5’s RPG.

In the video, Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino and game director Ken Motomura discuss the company’s history and interpretation of the Japanese videogame industry, as well as discussing the game itself.

Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will be available in America on 22 January 2013 and Europe will receive the game on 25 January.

Preview of Digimon Adventure PSP Game Released

Namco Bandai Games has released a preview of the Digimon Adventure game, which will be released on the PSP on 17 January 2013. The game is part of the 15th anniversary of the Digimon franchise. The video features dialogue, cutscenes and actual gameplay footage.

The story of this RPG follows the original 1999 TV series and the 2000 film Digimon: The Movie; the game will also contain some new events and unlockable mystery Digimon once the main game has been completed. All the original characters will be available to play, many of which will be voiced by the original Japanese cast.

Sword Art Online Game Gets TV Advert

Namco Bandai Games has released a television advert of the upcoming Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment game, which will be available on PSP from 14 March 2013 in Japan.

As shown at the end of the trailer, the game will be available in a limited edition that comes with two DVDs, a soundtrack CD, a special booklet and a custom PSP game theme.

The game is based on the Sword Art Online light novel series by Reki Kawahara and is set in 2022 when a virtual reality massive multiplayer online role-playing game (VRMMORPG) called Sword Art Online is released. All the players that log into the game discover that they can’t log out, and if they die in the game, their bodies in the real world will perish too. Kirito is a skilled player who’s determined to beat the game by defeating the boss on the 100th floor of the game’s tower; he befriends a female player named Asuna, and they work together in an attempt to get back to the real world.

New Promos for Tales of Xillia 2 Game

Namco Bandai Games has released some new promotional videos for the PlayStation 3 RPG, Tales of Xillia 2. The game will be released next week on 1 November in Japan. 

The first promotional video featured here will run again during a special early demo and discussion event with producer Hideo Baba in Tokyo on Sunday.

The second promo features character profiles, actual gameplay and cutscenes.

For those of us in the west, we may be waiting some time to play this game; although, the first Tales of Xillia game will be available internationally in 2013.
