PlayStation 4 Launch Dates Announced

Sony has announced the launch dates of the PlayStation 4 during its press conference at Gamescom. The console will launch in Canada and America on 15 November, and Europe and Latin America on 29 November. As previously announced, the PS4 will cost $400 / £349.99 / €399.99. 

Sony has also announced that its PlayStation Vita handheld console will get a price cut, and will cost $199 / €199 (no UK price drop was specified, but the console is already being sold at a discount by many UK retailers). 

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster Audio Drama Preview

Square Enix has released an English language preview of the 30-minute radio drama extra that will feature in its new game, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster

Kazushige Nojima is writing this new story episode, which will play during the game’s special staff credit roll.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster is a HD remaster of both titular games, and will be available on PlayStation 3 and Vita in Japan, the US and Europe this year. The PlayStation 3 version will bundle both games together, but the Vita versions will be sold separately. A limited-edition artbook is available with pre-orders in America and Europe.

Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time Animation Short Released

PlayStation have released an animation short to promote Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time action game; the video features Sly and his friends pull off an airborne heist. The character of Sly is voiced by Kevin Miller (Blood Will TellNightshade).

Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time was developed by Sanzaru Games and is being published by Sony Computer Entertainment. The game will be available on PS3 and Vita on 5 February (US), 27 March (UK).

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 Will Be Released in Europe

Namco Bandai Games Europe has confirmed that One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 will be released in Europe on the PlayStation 3 in summer 2013. The game has been confirmed for release on PS3 and PlayStation Vita in Japan, but Namco Bandai has not confirmed a Vita edition for the Europe release. 

The game is set in the New World arc of the One Piece story, featuring new stages such as Skypiea, new characters such as Eneru and a new original mode.

The game is being developed by Omega Force (in-house Tecmo Koei developers).

The first One Piece: Pirate Warriors has sold over 1.2 million copies, and, to celebrate, Namco Bandai Europe will provide a discount on the digital copy of the original game with all downloadable content from 12 – 26 December 2012.
