Bleach Manga Will Have 5-Week Gap Before Finale

Tite Kubo has announced that he will be putting his Bleach manga series on hiatus for 5 weeks while he works on the manga’s “last battle.” The manga will return in the 41st issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine on 9 September to finish the finale arc, which started last year.

The manga was launched in 2001; the 60th volume will be published in Japan next month, and the 57th volume was released in North America last month.

Blue Exorcist Gets First Spin-Off Manga

Shueisha’s Jump SQ.19 magazine has published the first manga spin-off of Kazue Kato’s Blue Exorcist manga. The one-shot comedy manga, Salaryman Exorcist: The Sorrow of Yukio Okumura (Salaryman Exorcist: Okumura Yukio no Aishu), was illustrated by Minoru Sasaki, under the supervision of Kato. The story follows Yukio Okumura, the normal twin brother of Satan’s son, Rin, as he stresses about his brother and everyday life. As the cover picture below shows, Yukio relies on energy drinks to keep himself awake and alert as he’s so over-worked.
